A rotor wheel (1) for turbo-engines, especially a turbine or compressor rotor wheel for gas turbines or exhaust turbochargers with a concentrically arranged hub bore (2) is proposed, in which the bore (2) has a recess (6) in an area of increased stressing of the component. The differing local stresses of the hub bore (2) occurring in operation, especially in the case of rotor wheels with cross-sectional structure declining in a radial direction, can thereby be evened out, which leads to an increase of the service life even with higher operating speeds. <IMAGE>
