METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING LEAKS IN RUBBER GLOVES AND THE LIKE

Method and apparatus for detecting leaks in a rubber glove (32) or the like. The wearer of rubber gloves (32) connects a clip (30) to his ear and places each glove-covered hand individually into electrolyte liquid (35) in an electrically conductive receptacle (27). A circuit including a buzzer or beeper (15) sounds if there is a leak in the glove. The circuit includes a clip (30) connected to the wearer's ear as well as the beeper, the electrolyte (35), a battery (11) and the receptacle (29). An alternative embodiment includes a removable disposable electrically non-conductive line (50) for the electrolyte liquid (35') with the circuit including an electrical conductor (51) cemented to the inside of the receptacle and in the circuit.
