PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device capable of coping with the rebounding phenomenon of an occupant at the sudden decelerating time of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In the state of an occupant being put in inertial movement at the sudden decelerating time of a vehicle, an air bag device 54 is in the non-operating state. When the occupant is bounced back onto the seat back 64 side by the reaction after the inertial movement, however, the air bag device 54 is operated. The air bag device 54 can therefore cope effectively with the rebounding phenomenon of the occupant at the sudden decelerating time of the vehicle. |
