Granulator for extruded material for easy cleaning and maintenance

<p>A granulator has upper (10) and lower (11) rolls feeding material between a stationary knife (8) and a rotor (7). The rolls (7,10,11) are mounted in side walls (3) of the machine housing which has a front flap (5). When folded outward, the flap (5) releases the normally fixed position feed roll (11). Both sidewalls (3) have an elongated hole (15) open towards the front flap (5) for guiding the lower feed roll bearings (13). The ends (16) of the elongated holes (15) form a stop for the lower feed roll (11) during granulating. Pressure is exerted by the flap (5) on a support (21) which presses the bearings (13) against the stop ends (16).</p>
