PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable fast calculation of routes by storing a plurality of starting point area route networks calculated per starting point area to search guide routes from starting points to destinations using the starting point area route networks. SOLUTION: Routes from one starting point areas to a plurality of destinations are previously calculated as starting point area route networks and a plurality of starting point area route networks calculated per starting point area are stored into a road map memory 4 and a route data memory 5 of the starting point area route networks. A starting point area judging section 3 judges a starting point area of a vehicle in the searching of a route and searches a guide route from a starting point to a destination using the starting point area route networks of the starting point areas and road maps near the starting points and the destinations.
