<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly and continuously obtain the accurate information of the course and speed of a target ship by switching and connecting two antennas that are installed on a straight line including the antenna of a radar being mounted on a ship and calculating the course and speed of a target using the information of a plurality of Doppler frequencies being calculated by a receiver. SOLUTION: Antennas 1 and 2 are installed at different positions on a straight line including an antenna 1 of a radar that is mounted on a ship and have each azimuth-driving mechanism. A selector 3 switches the connection of the antennas 1 and 2 by a switch. A timing signal generator 5 generates a timing signal for controlling the transmission timing of a transmitter 4 for Doppler signal and the switching timing of the switcher 3. Receivers 6 and 7 have phase detectors each and a speed calculator 8 calculates the speed (course and speed) of the traveling target from two Doppler frequencies and radar information (target distance and azimuth information) inputted from the receivers 6 and 7. A display 9 digitally displays the course and speed of the target being calculated by the speed calculator 8.</p> |
