<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase searching chance of a fast moving target, far away from a radar set position. SOLUTION: A receiver 6 receives the radio wave obtained from a moving target, through an antenna 3 and a switcher 2, for each beam scan performed repeatedly according to the search data rate set by a beam scan controller 4. The beam scan speed at that time is set faster than before by reducing hit numbers. A threshold detector 7 extracts such detection signal as indicating target and noise out of the reception signal obtained for each beam scan by using a pre-set threshold. Here, the threshold value is set at low level for assuring a desired detection probability Pd. A scan data generator 8 overlays detection signals obtained for each beam scan, to generate scan data. A line segment target detector 9 extracts such line segment as contained in the scan data by utilizing the nature of Hough transform, so that the object indicated by such detection signal as related to the line segment is detected as a moving target.</p> |
