The casing has two hinges parts, thus enabling insertion and sealing of conduit at point of entry. The electrical connection box comprises a fixed base part (8) and a movable part (6). When separated the two parts allow the insertion of a ringed conduit (23) for the entry of cables to the connection box. The two parts define a circular aperture consisting of two semi-circles, one formed in each of the two parts. The two semicircles have an internal profile which matches the external profile of the tube (23) which is to be retained. The movable section (6) is attached to the fixed section (8) by means of hinges (7) arranged along one edge of the box. The hinge may be formed by a thin membrane of material which is solidly attached to both the fixed and mobile sections of the box. A retaining latch mechanism (16,20) holds the two parts of the box together in the closed position.
