METHOD FOR INCREASING THE NUMBER OF ISDN SUBSCRIBERS OF SWITCHING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for increasing the number of integrated services digital network(ISDN) subscribers of a switching system is provided to store complete subscriber numbers and information only in an ISDN interface unit without storing the complete subscriber numbers and information in every processor, so that efficiency of memory resources is improved. And the method is provided to detect a preset digit of code and to mutually transmit the detected digit to processors. CONSTITUTION: Subscriber numbers are pre-registered only with a predetermined digit of code. If an incoming signal is detected to an optional subscriber, a code of the detected incoming signal is translated. A subscriber number and subscriber information are transmitted to an access switching processor(ASP) through a line where the translated code is designated. The ASP receives the transmitted subscriber number and the subscriber information, and translates a code of the subscriber number. The subscriber number and the subscriber information are transmitted to an integrated services digital network(ISDN) interface unit through the line where the translated code is designated.
