<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network changeover device and its method that needs not to restart a computer even when a network is switched by controlling the power saving mode. SOLUTION: The network changeover device 1 to which networks are connected, is provided with a changeover means that selects any of the networks and with a control means that makes communication with the selected network, recognizes the type of the network, and can use the selected network without restarting a computer system connected to the network by using the power saving mode when the network is switched and changed as its control. Thus, the power saving mode provided to the operating system is used to directly change an IP address so as to eliminate the need for restarting the computer even when the network having been connected is switched into other network.</p> |
