STYRENIC RESIN FOAM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a styrenic resin foam for a housing material, hardly releasing styrene monomer into the interior and being very superior in the environmental hygiene. SOLUTION: This styrenic resin foam for the housing material, having <=500 ppm amount of the styrene monomer remaining in the foam based on the weight of the foam is obtained by heating and melting a styrenic resin, injecting a foaming agent, and extruding and foaming the injected resin. The method for producing the synthetic resin foam is also provided.
