PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement composition for forming a reinforcement that provides an excellent stiffening effect and ensures a member sufficient rigidity by using a polyolefin, the reinforcement obtained from the reinforcement composition and a method and a structure for reinforcing a car body using the reinforcement composition. SOLUTION: The reinforcement composition 1 is prepared by compounding 5-30 pts.wt. heat-expandable fine globule, 50-200 pts.wt. filler material and 1-10 pts.wt. crosslinking agent with 100 pts.wt. polyolefin. The composition is loaded, e.g. in an interior space of an automobile pillar 2 and heated to expansion mold the reinforcement 6, which reinforces the pillar 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
