FIELD: manufacture of pneumatic tires, particularly, molding of tire tread. SUBSTANCE: mold has plastic ring for molding of external surface of tire tread. Plastic ring is formed by a set of thin members adjacent to one another in circumferential direction. Thin members are mounted on support and oriented strictly in radial direction. Resilient repulsion between thin members is prevented by bandage. Said members are made in the form of standard and intermediate members alternating with one another in circumferential direction. Mold has appliances for alignment which are engageable with intermediate members for setting of respective orientation of intermediate members to radial direction. Invention provides method for manufacture of mold of tire tread in which ventilation is effected due to presence of free space between members. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of mold, gold appearance of tires remaining unchanged after many cycles of molding. 9 cl, 8 dwg |
