PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable and high-speed refilling, discharging minimum liquid drops, and high-speed and high image quality recording with a high reliability under every environment, particularly, even under any environment of a different atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: A width of driving pulses of heating elements of nozzles is adjusted by an environmental atmospheric pressure of a place where an inkjet recorder is used. Since ink is discharged more than normally when the atmospheric pressure is low, the pulse width is shortened to suppress the ink discharge. In other words, the environmental atmospheric pressure is detected at an atmospheric pressure detecting part (S900), and the pulse width of the driving pulses is obtained from the environmental atmospheric pressure data with the utilization of a preliminarily set atmospheric pressure-driving pulse table (S903).
