PURPOSE: An automatic timer-return locking device for a gas range control knob is provided to quickly return the knob to an original position by engaging a gear for turning a gas valve knob with a gear connected to a motor shaft. CONSTITUTION: An automatic timer-return locking device for a gas range control knob(10) selects a gas level by turning the gas control knob, sets the use time, supplies power toward a motor(17) after the set time, and returns quickly the knob to an original position in a lock state by rotating a gear(13) connected to a motor shaft and engaging the gear with a gear(14) installed at the gas valve knob. And then, the power supply of the motor is cut off to complete the system. The gear of the motor shaft is pulled and separated not to interfere the rotation of the knob.
