<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe indwelling needle which solves the problem that a conventional safe indwelling needle which includes a safety mechanism for prevention measures of incorrect puncture has a large size of the indwelling needle itself since a member to cover an inner needle pulled from an outer needle unit must have a size to accommodate the whole of the inner needle, and which is compact and convenient although equipped with a mechanism to prevent the incorrect puncture, has the mechanism to prevent the incorrect puncture that certainly functions, and is not complicate in structure. <P>SOLUTION: The safe indwelling needle is an indwelling needle comprising an inner needle unit 1 which includes the inner needle 8 and a needle protection member 13, and the outer needle unit 2 which includes an outer needle 4, wherein the needle protection member 13 extends to cover the inner needle by the prescribed length from a pointed head of the inner needle in a condition of that the inner needle unit 1 is relatively pulled from the outer needle unit 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
