PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching mechanism of a rotary type operation device in which operation can be carried out surely without forming a clearance, and the number of parts is less, and assembling can be made easily. SOLUTION: The switch 12 is provided with a shaft 12a in which a flat state flat face 12c is formed at one part of the circumferential face 12b, and at an interlocking gear 11, a fitting part 11b having a flat face part 12g corresponding to the flat face 12c of the shaft 12a, elastic pieces 11c, 11d are formed to energize the shaft 12a so that the shaft 12b is elastically crimped to the fitting part 11b.
