摘要 <p>1395180 Compression moulding powder SCHWELMER EISENWERK MULLER & CO GmbH 14 July 1973 [10 Aug1971] 33127/72 Heading B5A Powder is compacted, prior to sintering, in a mould 51, 52 by a piston 21 which first enters the mould at a relatively slow speed to compact the powder and cause it to cohere, the plunger then being withdrawn and driven into the mould at a relatively high speed to impact the powder and further compress it. The plunger is carried by a plate 36 which is guided by rods 37 in cylinders 37 on to which nuts 41 are screwed to provide adjustable stops. The mould is filled with iron powder from an articulated conduit (not shown). The initial compaction and withdrawal of plunger 21 is controlled by a cam 32 which operates a lever 28 having a pin 27 engaging between flanges 26 of a shaft 24 which carries the plunger. A capacitor is then discharged through coil 34 to repel plate 36 and hurl the piston against the powder. Air is maintained in cylinders 37 to assist in raising the plunger 21 during withdrawal and after compaction. The top half of the mould is raised by a cam 33 operating lever 64 to cause two plates 57, 59 connected by rods 58 to slide relative to the fixed frame 10. A plunger 69 is provided in the lower half 52 of the mould and operated in synchronism with the plunger 21 by a similar cam and lever mechanism 77, 73 and coil 34. The upward movement of piston 69 is limited by its shoulder 86 engaging a threaded sleeve 83 which is adjusted by a worm 88. After compaction and raising of the upper plunger and mould half the lower plunger rises to eject the compacted article 54 from the mould half 52. A further cam 99 operates a lever 97 to pull a link 94 which is attached at the rear, as shown, to a ring 91 to rotate the ring and unlatch pins 106 of plate 81. This permits the plate 81 and thus mould half 52 to rise with further movement of the plunger 69 and lift the article off the core.</p>
