The switch contact arms are in the 'in' position running parallel to each other, carrying currents in opposite directions. Their repulsive forces are effective before the switch opening initiated by the trip through a latch. The contact (5) has a pin (17) at about its middle, sliding in a slot (16) fixed in the case. It is pressed by two springs (18, 19) on both sides of the pin (17) towards the movable contact (2).
