Circuit arrangement for transmitting measured values, in particular in a fire alarm system to a control centre, in which a plurality of fire alarms are connected in parallel to a two wire line, via which the supply voltage for the fire alarms is supplied at the same time. A measured value is formed by connecting (controlled by a local pulse generator) a measured value shunt to the two wire line to generate measured value pulses. This measured value sensor (3, 4, 5) is provided with a pulse generator (14, 15, 16), all pulse generators oscillate above a specific frequency and at a pulse frequency (25) of the same order of magnitude. At the end of the two wire line (1, 2) remote from the control centre (7) is a monitoring shunt (6) which is continuously switched through, in a pulsed manner, by means of a pulse generator (20), likewise arranged at this end, to generate monitoring pulses (24). The pulse frequency of the latter is significantly lower than that of the pulse generators arranged in the fire alarms (3, 4, 5). <IMAGE>
