PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red coloring composition for a color filter capable of forming a color filter enabling high brightness and a wide color reproduction region in a color display device using a white light-emitting organic EL element as a light source; a color filter using the same; and a color display device having the color filter.SOLUTION: A red coloring composition contains an azo pigment represented by general formula (1), a binder resin, a photopolymerizable monomer, and a photopolymerization initiator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
