A fat which comprises a soft fat obtained by fractionation of laurin fat having an iodine value of 30-40, a melting point of not higher than 15 DEG C., and SFI of 10-30 at 5 DEG C., 0-20 at 10 DEG C., 0-10 at 15 DEG C., and 0 at 20 DEG C. A food containing the same is also disclosed.
