A container holder adapted to hold various sized containers (a,b) one at a time comprises a flexible holding member having a central hole, the holding means having means for centering, exerting a holding force on, and releasably retaining a container, a holding frame that detachably retains the holding member. The holder further includes at least two different adaptor plates which are respectively secured to the holding frame one at a time for releasably retaining the holding member against the holding frame, each adaptor plate engaging the holding member to exert a holding force on the container which is individual to the particular adaptor plate, thereby effecting a different holding force of the holding member on the container.
