Gaming or fruit machine using pseudo-random generator

The method for determining the stopping position of rotating symbol displays of an automatic gaming machine, where the machine contains a microcomputer sequence controller and halts the symbol displays, uses a random generator and position readout of the symbol displays. Possible winning combinations are arranged in win groups, each win group occupying a disjunct space of the total combination space. A pseudo random number generator is used to determine the win group, and the resulting symbol combination is displayed.
