Chain tensioner for IC-engine valve drive

The chain tensioner has a housing (11) with a working fluid reservoir (30) and a bore (30) with a non-return valve (35) for connecting the reservoir with the bore. The non-return valve opens for the discharge of working fluid in the reservoir but closes in the return direction. There is a piston (31) sliding in the bore. The tensioner arm (12) is fastened to the housing for pivoting (26,28). There is a housing mounted stop (5) to which the piston is attached for movement within the housing. The piston can slide in a sealing bush (32) in the housing.
