PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio paging receiver provided with a function without reporting the reception to a user in the case of a message call due to a mischief or the like. SOLUTION: In this the radio paging receiver by which a calling signal containing a calling number and a message is received through a reception part 51 by radio, the coincidence of the received calling number and its own calling number stored in an ID-ROM 53 is discriminated by an ID comparing means 63 and calling is reported by reporting means 58-60 when the calling number are coincident, when an operation part 61 receives a keyword designated by a user, the relevant keyword is stored in a keyword storage area 71, when the calling signal is received, it is discriminated by a keyword retrieving means 67 whether the stored and registered keyword is contained in the message contained in the relevant calling signal or not and when the stored and registered keyword is contained in the received message, a report inhibiting means 66 inhibits the reporting operation of the reporting means 58-60 concerning the reception of the calling signal.
