PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display controller, for traffic information in a navigation apparatus, by which, when the traffic information is displayed to a user, a selection operation required for displaying information required by the user is reduced as far as possible and by which whether the traffic information refers to traffic information in an expressway or that in a general road can be reproted to a driver. SOLUTION: A system controller 1 which controls the navigation apparatus as a whole in a complex manner is installed. A first receiving unit 2, a second receiving unit 3, a retrieval part 4, a display data part 5, a display control part 6, an image monitor 7 and a voice guidance part 8 are connected to the system controller. When a screen display by the image monitor 7 is displayed in such a way that the expressway and the general road are adjacent, the superposed display of the traffic information or the like is controlled by the display control part 6 in such a way that whether the traffic information refers to the information in the expressway or the information in the general road can be discriminated clearly. |
