PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control gain to adjust output power. SOLUTION: A control unit 6 determines whether a power zone selected by controlling a gain of a second gain variable amplifier 2 is a zone including a maximum output of this radio 100. When the control unit 6 determines that the selected zone includes the maximum output, gain control voltage data out of the gain control voltage stored in a storage unit 5 which corresponds to a control voltage included in an area of which variation characteristic of gain relative to the control voltage at the first gain variable amplifier 1 is non-linear is considered to be available. Then, the control unit 6 finely adjusts the output power of the radio 100 by controlling the gain of the first gain variable amplifier 1 based on the gain control voltage data read from the storage unit 5.
