PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter communication system that can be easily fixed to a gas meter, when setting a breaking state and an operating mode or reading out a breaking history and an alarm history to a gas meter. SOLUTION: The communication system comprises a setter 10, which sets the breaking state and the operating mode or reads out the breaking history and the alarm history when monitoring the usage state of gas to detect abnormality, and an attachment 60 that is placed to the setter 10 for fixing the setter 10 to the gas meter 1, which is provided with U-shaped fixing members 61a, 61b, 61c that fix the setter 10 and movable members 62, 63 that moves dependent on the width of a register part 24 of the gas meter 1, which displays the measured value of the gas, and places the register part 24 of the gas meter 1 between the fixing members 61a, 61b, 61c and the attachment 60.
