PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-accuracy double helical gear ground by a machining technology of a conventional helical gear. SOLUTION: In this double helical gear comprising two helical gears, one of the two helical gears is a fixed gear, while the other is a position adjustment gear. The double helical gear is manufactured by adjacently oppositely disposing the two helical gears onto a single shaft. The double helical gear is manufactured by fixing the two helical gears onto the single shaft at a distance necessary for the machining of teeth, singly or simultaneously machining the respective helical gears, and bringing the two helical gears into contact with each other by hydraulic pressure or the like.
