PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to obtain the optimum film concentration corresponding to a photographed site in X-ray photographs usually and frequently taken. SOLUTION: In an ionization chamber in which ionization gas is enclosed inside of a frame 10 consisting of an insulator, electrodes to detect charged particles ionized by the irradiation of the X-ray are installed in four pairs (number 12 to 15) according to positions and shapes corresponding to respective photographed sites such as the left thorax front face, the right thorax front face, the thorax side face, abdomen or the like in general photographing, and the electrode to be used for exposure controlling is switched according to the photographed site in taking photographs. By this, the exposure rate of the X-ray can be regulated so that the optimum film concentration is respectively obtained in taking photographs at the form positions.
