PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily clean a chuck operation face of an automatic tension tester, without removing a chuck. SOLUTION: This chuck cleaning unit has a brush rotated by a motor, a brush shifting mechanism for advancing and retreating the brush into/from an inside of a chuck opening part of the tension tester, and a vertical-motion-for- brush mechanism for moving the brush vertically on the chuck operation face under the condition where the brush is advanced to the chuck opening part.
