<p>Circulatory drying unit, partic. for drying ceramic prod. e.g. bricks, comprises an appts. in which (a) the air heated outside the drier is passed directly to the circulating fan suction (b) the fan is situated within the drier and directly driven from a motor located outside the drier and (c) >=2 simultaneously reversible vanes are used to exchange the directions of flow of the mixt. of hot and already cooled and moist air. Prevents or reduces the defects, e.g. cracking, which tend to arise in the forced drying of wet moulded ceramics e.g. bricks. The same drying system can be used for other driers e.g. tunnel driers with transverse circulation.</p> |
