<p>PURPOSE:To get a passage blocking jig that can facilitate water test of upstream passage, by axially compressing and expanding the caliber of a hollow rubber plug with a through shaft. CONSTITUTION:Through holes 3, 3' are made on the upper and lower ends 4, 4' of a hollow rubber plug 1. The shaft of a spindle 6 having a guard 7 at its upper end is inserted through the holes 3, 3' and the shaft end 8 projecting through the hole 3' is fitted with a washer 12 and a nut 10. A coil spring 13 is fitted to the spindle 6 with washers 11, 11' on both ends in the hollow 2 of the rubber plug 1. The upper end 4 of the rubber plug 1 is held between the spindle guard 7 and the washer 11 and the lower end 4' between the washers 11', 12', respectively. This jig is easily inserted from a cleaning port 17 of relatively small caliber and fastening of the nut 10 expands the jig caliber to block the inside 15 of a pipe 14 watertight.</p> |
