High-altitude solar energy collector - has chamber subjected to sun-rays containing dust maintained in suspension

The solar energy collector is for use at high altitudes, near a source of water or ice. It comprises a dust chamber (5), in which the dust is held in and which is subjected to the sunrays. One chamber wall, exposed to the sunrays (6), can comprise components (7) diffusing the rays in a non- homogeneous manner in the chamber, thus generating convection movements maintaining the dust in suspension. The diffuser components are pref. lenses whose dia. lie between 20mm and 50cm. There can also be a heat-accumulation mass (8) in the dust chamber and exposed to the rays.
