PURPOSE:To produce a seamless pipe with high performance without rolling irregularities by providing carriers to driving and revolving shafts, and mounting the revolving shafts of rolling rolls in parallel to the driving and revolving shafts. CONSTITUTION:Driving gears 14 are fixed to a pair of driving and revolving shafts 12. Carriers 16 are secured to the shafts 12, and plural rolling rolls 15 are mounted freely rotatably to the carriers 16. The revolving shafts 19 of the rolls 15 are positioned at equal intervals around the shafts 12, and are so adjusted of phases that in the rolling position of a base pipe 17 the shafts 12 and the revolving shafts 19 of the rolls 15 contributing to rolling are arrayed on one straight line. When the shafts 12 revolve to give prescribed rates of feed and revolutions to the pipe 17 while rolling is not carried out, the surface of the seamless pipe is finished uniformly without rolling irregularities. |
