METHOD OF IMPROVING THE FLOWABILITY OF DESULPHURIZING AGENTS FOR CRUDE IRON AND STEEL MELTS

A method of allevlating problems of flowability and inconsistent desulphurizing effect of agents used in the desulphurization of crude iron and steel melts, which comprises grinding the desulphurizing agent with from about 3% to about 20% by weight of carbon for a period of from about 5 to 30 minutes. The carbon may be in the form of graphite or coal.
