In a balancing device having at least one balancing element for converting unbalanced high-frequency voltages into balanced high-frequency voltages, and vice versa, the balancing element consists of a double line having a length of one quarter of the mean operating wavelength ( lambda 0/4) in which the lambda 0/4 long end part of an unbalanced line has allocated to it an individual conductor of equal length whose one end is electrically connected to the free end of the inner conductor of the unbalanced line and whose other end is electrically connected to its outer conductor. While ensuring good electrical properties of this balancing device, for purposes of providing precise, cost-effective mass production and a space requirement which is as small as possible, the double line is constructed from two broad conductor tracks, which are configured on one supporting board in a flat conductor structure and are connected to one another on one side, and the inner conductor of the unbalanced line is constructed as a narrow conductor track running at a short distance from the associated broad conductor track corresponding to the desired characteristic impedance.
