A fluid treatment module (200) is proposed comprising a fluid treatment element (202), a fluid inlet for non-treated fluid and a fluid outlet for treated fluid,
said fluid treatment element comprising a body of a fluid pervious treatment medium with a first and a second face positioned at opposite sides of the body. The body comprises a plurality of channels extending in a direction from the first face to the second face. A number of channels of a first type of said channels is open at one end located at said first face of the body and closed at the other end located adjacent to second face. A number of channels of a second type of said channels is open at one end located at said second face of the body, and closed at the other end located adjacent to said first face. The channels of the first type are separated from the channels of the second type by portions of the treatment medium,
one of said types of channels receiving non-treated fluid and communicating with the fluid inlet, the other one of said types of channels collecting treated fluid and communicating with said fluid outlet. |
