PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of a positive electrode substance to a positive electrode case by putting a pellet-like positive electrode compound into the positive electrode case with its top opened and then by press-fitting a positive electrode ring, whose outer diameter is larger than the inner diameter of the positive electrode case, into the positive electrode case by applying pressure. CONSTITUTION:In a sealed-type cell such as an alkali-manganese cell, etc., a positive electrode case 1 has previously been made to have its top opened, and a positive electrode compound 2 is put into the bottom of it, and a positive electrode ring 3, whose outer diameter is 0.01-0.1mm. larger than the inner diameter of the case 1, is press-fitted into the case 1 by applying pressure from above; thus the positive electrode compound 2 is fixed. And a separator 4, an impregnated material 5, and a negative electrode 6 built in the open-top sealing plate 7 are assembled to form a thin cell. In this way, the adhesion of the positive electrode case 1 inside wall to the peripheral surface of the positive electrode ring 3 can be bettered to improve the leakage-resistance and internal resistance characteristics, and also the workability can be improved, reducing troubles to occur. |
