Joint for a road structure formed from two complementary elements respectively fixed to two parts of the road structure facing one another, each of the elements having an upper row of teeth meshing in the corresponding upper row of teeth of the other element, a lower row of teeth meshing in the corresponding lower row of teeth of the said opposing element, the joint comprising, between the upper and lower rows of teeth, a plurality of hollow, deformable, modular sealing strips, preferably having a cellular structure, which are installed side by side in the longitudinal direction of the joint and trapped inside the rows of teeth. The modular sealing strips 16 are connected to one another along their longitudinal sides 17 via shaped fastening rods 22 which engage in grooves 18, of corresponding cross-section, provided in the longitudinal sides opposite the strips, the end strips of the row being joined, particularly by adhesive bonding, to the constituent elements 5,6 of the joint. <IMAGE>
