A cylindrical locking device includes a barrier body between a first and a second body actuable by a pawl. The bodies have corresponding holes which receive spring-loaded locking pins. A key brings the locking pins into a position with intermediate surface play between the bodies during the rotation and actuation of the pawl. The holes in one of the bodies are larger than in the others. The locking pins in the holes of the first pawl-actuated body include false segments. The locking pins extend as far as the end face of the lock, with the result that the lock is effectively secured against break-in and manipulation.
