In a buffer beam (3) which is arranged on one of the end sides of a low-level railway transporter wagon so as to be capable of being pivoted out and removed, the supporting elements are to be separated from the connecting elements. For this purpose, the buffer beam (3) is mounted at one end of a pivot arm (4) so as to be capable of pivoting about a perpendicular axis. The other end of the pivot arm is mounted on a support arm (5) so as to be capable of pivoting about a perpendicular axis, which support arm (5) is mounted in a box (7) on the floor (1) of the wagon so as to be displaceable transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the wagon. Displacement takes place by means of a spindle (8) which can be rotated by means of a crank (10) and engages in a nut (9) in the box (7). Receptacle bolts (11) which engage in bores (12) in the side elements (2) of the wagon are provided at the lateral ends of the buffer beam (3). <IMAGE>
