An LCD device includes a plurality of first vertical gate lines and a plurality of data lines vertically disposed in a liquid crystal panel, a plurality of second horizontal gate lines horizontally disposed in the liquid crystal panel, and a plurality of driving ICs disposed in an upper or lower non-display area of the liquid crystal panel. The plurality of horizontal gate lines and the plurality of vertical gate lines may be disposed on different layers. The plurality of vertical gate lines and the plurality of horizontal gate lines are electrically connected to each other in respective pairs through a contact in an overlapping area therebetween.

1. A liquid crystal display (LCD) device, comprising:
a plurality of first gate lines and a plurality of data lines disposed in a first direction in a liquid crystal panel; a plurality of second gate lines disposed in a second direction vertical to the first direction in the liquid crystal panel, the plurality of first gate lines and the plurality of second gate lines being disposed on different layers; and a driving integrated circuit (IC) disposed in an upper or lower non-display area of the liquid crystal panel, the driving IC connected to the plurality of first gate lines to supply a scan signal, and connected to the plurality of data lines to supply data voltages, wherein the plurality of first gate lines and the plurality of second gate lines extend through a display area in which a plurality of pixels are defined, and are electrically connected to each other in pairs, and wherein each of the first gate lines is spaced apart from a corresponding data line in the second direction with a common voltage line disposed therebetween.
