Device for monitoring an air-conditioning apparatus for an electrical cabinet. When the door of the cabinet is closed, a fan (VM1) continuously sucks the air from this cabinet, heats it or cools it and returns it into the cabinet. The outside air, sucked through a fan (VM2) passes through a condenser (VF) and reemerges. The evaporator (VD) is connected by the compressor (VM3) to the condenser (VF), connected by a pressure-reducing valve (V1) to the evaporator. The fan and the compressor are connected up or disconnected depending on the temperature of the air sucked through and/or that of the air-conditioning apparatus (KG). The detectors (T1, T2, T3) of the electric current supplying the components indicate any operating anomaly, with emission of a signal of malfunction and/or shutdown of the components. Application: optimising the regulation of an air-conditioner for an electrical cabinet. <IMAGE>
