摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To always cause the locus of a front wheel to coincide with that of a rear wheel and to improve cornering performance by providing a transmission mechanism to effect steering such that each virtual line in which an axis is extended as a virtual line inside the cornering direction of a vehicle crosses the axle of each of front wheels and rear wheels at one point during steering. CONSTITUTION:Knuckle arms 28 and 19 rotatable around respective king pins 20 are respectively supported to the two ends of an axle 16f for front wheels by means of a bearing. Slide parts 28a and 29a extending in a moving forward direction are located to the knuckle arms 28 and 29, respectively, and intercoupled through a tie rod 32. A slide 30 is engaged with the slide part. A drive cylinder 36 is located between an operation part 29b formed integrally with the knuckle arm 29 and a fixing part 17 formed integrally with the axle 16f and steering of the front wheels is practicable. Meanwhile, knuckle arms 38 and 39 are also supported to the two ends of an axle 16r for rear wheels, and slide pieces 30 intercoupled through the tie rod 32 are located to slide parts 38a and 39a. L-shaped coupling arms 28b and 38b formed to the knuckle arms 28 and 38, respectively, are intercoupled through a coupling rod 40 and four-wheel steering can take place.</p>
