The present invention relates to membrane force sensors, and their use as a pressure sensor or as an accelerometric sensor (accelerometer). The membrane force sensor of the present invention is characterised in that the membrane consists of a ferrofluid held by a magnetic field. The sensor according to the invention can be used as a pressure sensor or as an accelerometric sensor.
