Prepn. of an aq. soln. contg. at least one nucleic acid (I) comprises (i) preparing an aq. soln. by dissolving a powder contg. (I) in purified water; (ii) leaving the soln. to stand at 35-45 deg.C for a suitable time (pref. 20-30 hrs.); and (iii) heating the soln. at 100-150 deg.C for a suitable time (pref. 2-3 mins.). The (I)-contg. powder is pref. ''Irochi no moto'' (RTM) (II). In step (i), typically 2-4g of (I)-contg. powder is suspended in 100-150 ml of purified water, followed by stirring at ambient temp. for 20-30 hrs., until the powder is completely dissolved. USE/ADVANTAGE - (II) contains DNA, RNA, aminoacids, vitamins and trace elements, and has health promoting, authotherapeutic and anti-ageing effects. The (I) contg. solns. are useful as health drinks (suitably for daily consumption after 1000-fold dilution), cosmetic lotions (e.g., for removing skin spots and wrinkles after 100-fold dilution) and plant growth promoting nutrients. The solns. are better absorbed in human body tissue than (II) powder, and are stable for long periods at room temp. Step (iii) sterilises the soln. to prevent fermentation, cloudiness and pptn. Step (iii) also puts (I) in a state of suspended animation, from which they are reactivated at body temp.; step (ii) makes (I) ''memorise'' the body temp. |
