PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unidirectional surface acoustic wave converter, in which the size of a reflected wave per unit wave length is large, and directivity is large. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a first electrode finger, having periodicity of wavelengthλof a surface acoustic wave connected with a first bus bar in each period, and second and third electrode fingers connected with a second bus bar. When the width of the first electrode finger is w1, the width of the second electrode finger is w2, the width of the third electrode finger is w3, an interval between the first electrode finger and the second electrode finger is g1, an interval between the second electrode finger and the third electrode finger is g2, and an interval between the third electrode finger and the first electrode finger is g3, the relations w1=2×w3, w2=g2+w3, g1=g3, g2=λ/4, w1+w2+w3+g1+g2+g3=λare satisfied.
