PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect foundations both lengthwise and breadthwise by providing engaging protrusions extended outward from the end of a base board and extended upward from the front end and forming engaging receivers having recesses or holes fitting to the projected parts of the engaging protrusions at the bottom face of the base board. SOLUTION: When a base course 1' is pushed down on a base course 1, the outer peripheral wall of the base course 1' hits on a fixing block 42. Since the upper end of the fixing block 42 has a slope face 43, it is shifted inward while deflecting the support leg 41. When the base course 1' is further pushed down, the recess 51 and the hole 52 of a first engaging reciever 50 are fitted to the projected piece 31 and the engaging protrusion 32 from above and connected together. When the base course 1' is pushed down to the same level with the base course 1, the fixing block 42 deflected inward by the base course 1 is elastically returned and hooked on the stage 61, and hence, the base courses 1, 1' adjoining each other are mutually connected while being vertically restrained. Accordingly, the foundations can be easily and securely connected to each other both lengthwise and breadthwise.
